Pentax Gallery "On Hold" tag

Hello everyone,
I recently submitted some photos to the Pentax Photo Gallery, and one is tagged as "On Hold." This photo is currently in the "Submission Complete" category. Anyhow, I was wondering what this means and when the image will stop being "On Hold."

I'm told that they created that when they've reviewed the photo but want to get another opinion. Not sure why, but some people's go either way from the hold status.

Mine mostly just get rejected from the get-go.

Once they are on hold - I doubt the photos would be ever reviewed again!

Several weeks ago, I had one "on hold" . . . wrote to inquire what that meant and Carolyn Pitcavage replied that the initial reviewer wanted a second opnion . . . 3 or 4 days later it was accepted . . .
It was one of my favorite shots . . . one guess might be that in order to make it in "The Gallery", it requires two opinions . . . just a thought.

Really?

I had 6 photos on hold for 1 month or so without any questions etc. So I just deleted them!

Oops

I see. When you say 'The Gallery,' do you mean Premium Collection, or just the general gallery?

I had one on hold for about 2 weeks that was finally declined.

I doubt it was under consideration for the premiere gallery since it was a marginal shot in my mind, but interesting to look at. There are a lot of shots I've seen (and not mine) that belong in the Premiere gallery while there are some in there that should be pulled and thrown away. I don't care from some of those over-saturated colors.

I agree . . . although the "rules" say you are supposed to limit PP, there's a whole bunch of shots that have really been massaged . . .
