I think if I DID have all my gear stolen, and got the money to replace it, I would simplify a great deal... maybe 15,35,43 and 70 limiteds on a K7 or K-X... but perhaps I am only kidding myself.

I certainly havent spent that much. less than 5,000 bucks. I own a lot of really impressive Takumar glass but even the 6 new in box takumars that I own dont equal the price of just two DA*'s or limiteds. I have three digital bodies but the only one I bought at a really "high" price was the k-m. I havent attempted to add it all up, but I would imagine it would be somewhere in the 3000-3500 range.

im guessing that is been less than 5000 but with the cost of glass going up i would guess that I may be over that number eventually, the only thing bought new are the K100D and the Fisheye everything else was bought used

Unfortunately, when you get involved with DA* and FA Ltd lenses, the bill climbs higher and faster than a Cessna 210.
This is kind of what I was thinking. The quote in the title should actually be, Wife: "OMG, you have spent HOW much? Inconceivable."

everytime I get a lens in the mail, my girlfriend (before I even get the package open) gives me the same line: what is that, another lens? then she just shakes her head in complete confusion. I just grin like a little kid.

If something comes along that looks cool or I want to try it...I get it. It's funny though...I don't labor over purchases, hoping to find the cheapest price. Amazon/B&H/Adorama/ebay/craigslist/thrift stores...searching is pretty quick, actually.

In that case, I might have checked the wrong box

Hehe, this is supposed to be a secret. Though my recent clinical mania relapsed, I spent $20,000 on internet on-line game alone... Hehe

you're an embarrassment to this community. go out and do something productive. like shooting some pictures of wallabies or dingos or crocs for a change.

btw, you're not into WOW, are you?

Though proudly, all my lens investment has been wise and I have made profit. Recently I am stocking olympus four thirds prof series lenses. Hehe. Good stuff.

wallabies are pretty much laid to rest by the road side these days. Not really necrophilliac.
