[EXPIRED] FS: MF K-mount and M42 lenses (UK)

Hello all... since many of my old manual focus lenses aren't getting much use lately, I've decided to sell... if there are no takers then I'll put them on eBay, but I'd rather sell them here if possible.

Lenses are in the UK (as am I!)... and a face-to-face meeting to inspect or buy the lenses is possible in London, Bucks, Herts or the surrounding area... otherwise I am happy to post anywhere in the UK, or elsewhere using the service of your choice. I'm not setting prices as I just want to free up some space and ensure these lenses get used by someone, so feel free to make any offer. Btw I have not sold on here before, but have bought from a member here (eljustino) and have 100% positive feedback on eBay, so am happy to provide 'references'

So what am I selling?

Well, in K-mount...

1) Pentax SMC A 50mm f/2. Came with a P30. In very good condition; optics are perfect. Aperture stops down correctly and the blades are totally free of any oil Focus is smooth, and it works as an A-series lens should when used on a digital body.

2) Ricoh 50mm f/1.7... actually marked "Auto Sears MC". As Matt Denton notes on his classic camera site, Ricoh lenses and bodies were relabelled for Sears. Apparently people wanted their cameras to have the name of American department stores instead of proper camera companies... odd ... anyway it's a decent 50mm. Very good condition except for one very very thin and short scratch on the rear element. Hardly visible, about 2mm long, and has never shown up on any images either with film or digital. Lens has no "A" so equivalent to an M-series.

2) Vivitar 70-150mm f/3.8 MC. Made by Kiron... which as you probably know is a good thing. A very nice lens. Optics perfect, in fact the whole thing is basically in perfect condition right down to the 'passed' sticker. Has no "A" on the aperture ring, so effectively the same as using an M-series lens.

3) Vivitar Auto Wide-Angle 28mm f/2.5. Another Kiron-made lens, and another one that is basically perfect and looks and performs as-new... Kiron obviously cared about build quality, and it shows since their lenses obviously age very well. As with the previous Vivitar, this has no "A" on the aperture ring and is therefore equivalent to an M-series lens.

4) Vivitar 19mm f/3.8. No serial number so unfortunately I can't work out who made it. Still a decent very wide angle lens which saw a lot of use on my P30. In very good condition, optics perfect apart from a hair-thin mark all of two millimetres long on the front element. It's on the outer edge, and I have seen absolutely no evidence of it in any photos. It's really barely noticeable, but I feel I should mention it. Oh, the lens has "A" on the aperture ring, but for some reason my K100d does not recognise it, so this one too is effectively like an M-series lens.

And now, M42 lenses...

1) Asahi Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4. Yes that one. Great lens. Has the "yellowing" to some extent, which has an effect with colour negatives, but not on the dSLR. Also ideal for black & white film. Even with colour negatives it's made some great prints since the lab corrected the colour anyway. Apart from that, the optics are perfect, as are the aperture blades and ring. Very good condition overall with only one flaw - the filter ring has taken a slight dent and therefore it won't mount filters. It's slight enough that it could be easily bent back, but I haven't bothered since I didn't want to use any filters with it anyway.

2) Jupiter-9 85mm f/2. Another popular one. Great portrait lens on either film or digital. Optics are perfect and very good condition overall, my only 'complaint' being that the focusing is a bit stiff... it is very smooth, obviously nothing stuck in there, it's just that (presumably due to lack of oil) it requires more effort to turn than with most lenses. I considered it worth the effort because it really is a great portrait lens... only reason I don't use it for this purpose any more is because I have a Tamron 90mm f/2.8... which of course has a slower aperture and cost 10x as much!

More M42 lenses to be added tomorrow so please check again

If interested in any of the above, if you have any questions, if you want to see photos of the lenses and/or one taken with them, please reply or PM me. Thanks for looking!
