[EXPIRED] Hartblei Super Rotator 65mm

Hello all,

Looking into getting a shift/tilt lens I decided this one would be the best for my needs, until I discovered Hartblei seems to have stopped production of it, and is now only selling some extremely expensive new Super Rotators that I cannot possibly afford...

I've seen one was sold here this summer, so they are around... Any one have one for sale?

tx!

There was one for sale around here a few months ago. I thought about it, but it is too long a focal length for what I wanted (architecture).

Note this is a 65, not 80mm...

Thanks! I saw that one and PMd the poster about it. Appears it sold in a later thread I had missed.

Had confirmation from the people in Ukraine in the mean time that production has been stopped indeed. They offered me the two Arsat TS lenses (35mm and 80mm). But they did sell some of the Hartblei 65mm's so these must be around.

65mm would be ideal for me. 35mm is too wide for small studio work (requiring much larger backgrounds) and 80mm implies too long a working distance. 65mm being somewhere in between means I could get close enough without the background becoming too much of a hassle to deal with.

The quest continues...

FYI, I went ahead and bid on a 65mm Hartblei on Ebay, with a Canon EOS mount. The word on the street is that, despite what was originally claimed, it in fact is pretty easy to swap the mounts. Ebay member go-and-shoot (Mike Furman of Kiev Camera) says he has K mounts for the lens, so I'm currently waiting for more info and the mount itself if I decide to purchase it from him. I'll let you know if it works out.

Thanks for this feedback! I had missed it. I hope it worked out?

Anyway, I'm still looking... ;-)
