We'll be in Stewart Theatre in Talley Student Center. I'm playing trombone in the first half, then bari sax and flute in the second. Would be great to see some of you guys there.
We also have a concert Thursday Dec. 3rd at 7pm. Same location. First half will be the top big band and I'll be playing bari and flute, and second half is the Wind Ensemble and I'll be on clarinet then. Nice holiday music with tradition Sleigh Ride etc, up to Mannheim Steamroller, and a couple of charts from The Looney Toons Bah, Humduck! movie..
Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there.

Oh, side note. Thursday night is a piano recital by one of our faculty. She's out of this world.

  • beat the crowds

We will meet at BD's (7201 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD) at 11:30 on 12 Dec and then either drive or take the Metro to the Zoo. If we drive, since parking can be at a premium at the Zoo we can carpool down from the parking lot near BD's.

NightVisions - FotoWeekDC 2009

You shoot whatever you want and take up to 30 shots to FotoWeekDC Central 1 (in Georgetown). They will have computers and editing software available for basic post-processing. A board of editors will select ONE photo from each photographer and print an 11x14 to be hung in the exhibit.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in a dynamic project and exhibition that will be on display throughout the rest of FotoWeekDC.

There is no indication about what will happen to your photo after the end of the exhibition but i have RSVP'd and hopefully that info will be provided in their reply. I will let you know.

Anyone up for a few hours of shooting DC after dark?

But I'm taking the chance the week before I want to check out some cities in the east coast.
I'm travelling with 1 or 2 friends. The plan is to rent a car and check out Washington, Philadelphia, New York and Boston and then go down to Nashville.

I'm taking my K10D and Sigma 17-70mm plus batteries and cards. I don't think I want to take any extra lenses because of the hassle...
I'm looking into getting camera insurance but I'd rather not have to use it :P

I'm looking at places to visit and I'd like advice for these and about the trip in general.
Any particulars I should be aware of?
