Kirk Security Strap

The R-strap uses a the FastenR which requires the removal of the quick release plate.




The Kirk Security Strap uses any ARCA quick release plate.





Anyone tried the Kirk?

I'm using these instead of the FastenR:

Manfrotto 3157 quick release plate



I asked the guys at Black Rapid and this is what they said they use. So far no problems! Lower profile than the FastenR.

Is that a standard ACRA plate or does it only work in an appropriate mount?

It's a standard Manfrotto/Bogen plate. Well, it looks like Manfrotto has a ton of different QR systems, but it's the one on all the ballheads in my price range.
