custom rain cover/hide made with brolly & tripod?

Hello,

I'm starting to plan autumn & winter, so I need some sort of rain cover. I use a tripod all the time so I thought something like this might be feasible. Has anyone tried it?

Alternatively I thought a toilet or shower tent might work. But assembling one of these might be a pain

You might order some wind-less days there in Britain! Never tried it, but if you attach the umbrella - you choose the storm model - to the tripod, it gets a little unstable in wind, I think.

You might also look at these guys for some ideas. Lots of variations and pretty inexpensive.
