Anyone know of an "adequate" manual V-nailer/underpinner i can buy for low production rate of frames. I don't plan on using anything but soft woods such as pine or basswood.
I've been able to sell a number of my framed prints the last 18 months by using wood frames built by my brother using biscuits/adhesive, but i think thats too much work for the long term.
It seems like manual underpinners can be used without adhesives, but prices seem to be over $500. I'm not exactly ruling that out, but if there is something cheaper????
Thanks for any ideas/experiences.
Note: Excuse me, this probably belongs in the "Everything Else" forum. i think only mods can fix that :-)

Reason: Note incorrect forum ?
This is a terrific forum for all things related to picture framing: The Picture Framers Grumble - Powered by vBulletin The name is odd, but the people (professional framers) are very helpful. I've asked questions there several times and have gotten really good info. They also run classifieds for people selling equipment.
I'm just planning on using corner clamps, glue, brads, and putty, but I have those skills.
Might get fancier when I can have a workshop, and maybe do more than my own work....which leads to the question: what do you have already?
I have some of the woodworking stuff, a chop saw, router, radial arm saw and some clamps. I have a pnuematic brad gun that i may use, now that you mention it. I saw a youtube video on frame assembly where someone was drilling pilot holes and using nails/brads effectively the "old-fashioned" way.
