C'mon guys I know your out there, lets organize a day in the city to get out and about, maybe have a little photo contest between the attendees or something.

I can think of a million things we can do for the day.

in anycase, i'm busy. work all day till february 20th and i dont want to go into the city on the weekend... then february 23rd is the start of uni... time freed up from then, but its a bit of a long time from now...

In Melbourne, there are 39 pentax users that are registered in the forum. However, only 4 of us really meet up every weekend for photography.

There are quite a few sydney forum members there. You should start collecting a list of addresses and names. Try to organise a regular time each week and things would roll along nicely.

Initially, people would not come. It takes a while to get it going.

Hehe. You can start doing so to gather a community in the local area. Cideway is pretty much an old member there and sure you could start with him?

After all, we can even start a newsletter group that send regular free news letter to all Australian pentaxforum members if we get a proper list going.

I need to check this area out more often.

I work shiftwork ... so that stuffs me up a bit ... but would love to get out to a meet though.
Maybe something that is not in the city though ... even though I'm a courier ... I hate the place.

I haven't spoken to Lance in a while ... he is on the forum from time to time ... but is mainly on the dpreview forums though.

But a Sydney-area meet-up sounds like a good idea to me

I don't mind going just about anywhere. My only problem will be workload after class starts up again. Last meet I went on I couldn't even find Nicholas

so I went to La Perouse. Lots of good stuff out there.
