| Pentaxian | Mid-Atlantic Photo Ops Calendar I have set up a calendar to describe photographically interesting opportunities centered in the U.S. mid-atlantic region (VA, MD, DC, PA, WV, DE and NC). www.my.calendars.net/photoopsAnyone can read the calendar and display details about the events. However, if you would like to help load the calendar with events PM me and I will provide a userid and password. There are multiple categories... Animals - horse racing, dog shows, pet expos, etc Aquatic Sports - kayaking, swimming, diving, etc Athletics - individual and team HUMAN athletic sports or competitions Aviation - air shows, ballooning, model airplanes, etc Festivals and Fairs - art festivals, renaissance fairs, county/state fairs, etc Historical - reenactments, period demonstrations, etc Meetings - gathering of photo enthusiasts, photo club meetings, etc Motor Sports - motorcycle, auto, speedboat racing, etc Performing Arts - concerts, theatre, etc Political Events - protests, marches, political speeches, etc Recreation - non-competative events such as motorcycle rallies or sports car drive-ins Studio Sessions - mostly aimed at modeling shoots Velo Sports - bicycle racing of any type If you have a suggestion for another category or a clarification of an existing one let me know. Hopefully this will provide "one-stop shopping" for figuring out shooting opportunities that interest you and your fellow photographers in the mid-atlantic region.
