by graphicgr8s......Tallahassee isn't Florida. It's southern Georgia
You sure got that right. My brother says anyone north of Port Orange is a yankee.

I might be able to rent a vehicle to come. I do have Florida drivers license, just no vehicle of my own.

Since I was born in Haines City, I guess I'm off the hook on the yankee bit. However, if you do a census, you will find out that most yankee are in south Florida below Ocala. Case in point Graph!

That only applies if your parents were also born in Florida. I know many children were born here while their parents were down for the winter.

I don't have that problem. My parents were both born in Florida and both are now deceased. And all my siblings were born there too, all 10 of them, for which I am the youngest.

I assure you, my grandfather moved down here when he returned from WWII. My grandparents are buried in Haines City although my great grand parents were returned to Chattanooga. My maternal set of grand parents were from and are buried in the Southern Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee where they were born and raised.

One never knows who's a true Florida Cracker and who's a psuedo one.

That's surely makes you a true one.

Both sets of grandparents of mine are buried in Florida. Oh, and my dad..was in WWI.

Well Tallahassee is just up the road about a hour, I could do that but that other place down by Cuba is a little too far.

I was hoping for Gainesville area since there are a few things around there. I had been holding back Cuba references!

Either place is going to be hard for me to get there. But Tallahasee/Gainesville is closer to me than Sarasota. Unless someone closer to me wants to share a ride.

Gainesville may be closer than sarasota but tally sure isn't. sarasota is about a 3.4 hour drive. tally about an hour more.

Right you are, graphic but I wasn't thinking when I added Tally in with Gainesville.

What's in Gainesville besides the big VA hospital?
