I am just thinking Postal Codes give too much information. I am not saying not trusting you guys, but the whole internet can search what we put here.

Another Torontian Pentaxian...

I am another proud Pentax owner living in Toronto - just saw this thread - I would be interested in attending a 'get together' to share ideas etc - if I'm available...

What has been decided for the 29th? Where, when, what etc?

I live downtown in the Bloor/Yonge area, car-free...

The current set up is Jun 29 Sunday noon time at Tim Horton Scarborough Town Centre food court (with lot of freeparking and on TTC) . Right on for car free Pentaxians. The location is also right on 401/McCowan for car owner.

I believe the final destination after brief meetup of an hour shall be Toronto Zoo (likely all should carpool) or Guild Inn nearby. Are we going to vote for either of the two destinations? Or we shall decide on the spot?

Zoo is great but pricey ($20+$10 parking). Guild Inn is a lot smaller though. Google both locations if you are not familiar with each of the suggested destinations , form your opinion and vote. Both the Guild In and Zoo are 10 minutes drive from Scarborough Town Centre.

If you volunteer as a model or you are bringing in one, let us know.

Daniel

Looks like I will not be able to attend tomorrow's get together - I tried to rearrange my schedule... I really wanted to connect with other Toronto Pentaxians - I often feel like an island among a sea of Nikon and Canons owners! Have a great time and I really hope that this is the first of many Toronto 'outings' - keep me posted to future events!

Doh! I've been travelling a lot lately for vacation and work and just noticed this thread an hour and a half before the meetup. Wish I could make it but I've got babysitting duty of my niece and nephew from 11am till 5pm then I'm off to Scarborough after that! Bummer

I did not know that you came that far East. Thanks Victor for organising this for us. Notwithstanding Gay Parade , Euro Cup and long weekend, 3 of us made that

Peter and Victor taken with my Zenitar defished. My image at the right was too distorted and defished out.

Peter trying out Victor's DA*50-135mm. I took that with DA200mm

77mm portrait of Victor. Proven portrait lens but from the unproven portrait newbie

Brute power of Peter's Sigma 28mm F1.8 at F3.2 . At the left it was Peter's Sigma apo non-macro version of 70-200mm the lens that I lust. Hope the Tamron 70-200mm I have ordered is as good as this proven one.

Test/candid shot from the coveted Fa300mmF4.5

Tamron 28-75mmF2.8. It was taken at almost wide open at F3.2. I like the bokeh and the AF focus speed.
