Toronto Meeting Up

Do we have a Toronto group already? Summer is here, lets plan for a short photo trip

It will be great to have some suggestion to go and see which weekend is good for you.

we should get together and raide a nikon or canon gathering shoot, buahahahah.

unfortunely i dont think it will be possible to filter "toronto" only users as this site doesnt allow for specific location tags.

altho you can filter through the thread labelled "canadians, sign up here" (or something like that) and pick out the TO guys.

Ok I just search Toronto in the forum and send tons of PM out :P I hope I didn't miss anyone, and it will be great to pass the message out if you know someone but they didn't put the location out in profile.

Post a message to this thread. Canadians sign up here - others welcome.

It's what I started the thread for so we could find each other.

On a side note, I'll be in Toronto the week of the 29th and would be interested in getting together some evening through that week or the 29th or 5th for an afternoon if that works. Anyone interested post here or PM's as well.

vizjerei, I got your PM, thanks for taking the trouble to send them out - I'd love to come to a meetup.

The week of the 29th works for me, though with the inevitable commute I'd prefer the afternoons. Either way, I'll keep an eye on this thread!

Sounds like an idea, i'm keen.

If we trust each other enough we could arrange a little swap for an hr or so. So for e.g I lend out my 100mm macro for an hour and someone lends me a 70mm pancake for e.g.

I like that swap idea we can all have a list of our own lens serial number, so we know which one is yours. That for sure "help" the LBA.

I know I have no plans this weekend, next weekend is the Ribfest in what we all used to call Etobicoke, and Sunday is Pride (I think) - Always an interesting place to have a camera. But neither is really good for talking.

The Distillery is interesting and at least has a coffee shop!

I keep my eyes peeled as we decide and look forward to meeting you all!

Although I'm in Windsor I'll keep an eye-out on this thread.
Searching for Toronto is not good enough as plenty of people from the burgs and Barrie, etc might want to join in.

Peter's thread is always a good one to start and I think the heading on this thread certainly catches everyone's attention.

Good luck.

vizjerei, Why don't we pick a place, date and time? That might be easier for everyone to commit to. For me June 29 or July 5th or 6th would work. Pick a meeting place and a time to meet there.

I will have a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and an FA*300/4.5 with me and anyone is welcome to try those as well as any other lenses in the bag. It would be a blast to get 10 or more to do this.

I have been watching to see what gets planned. Not sure whether I can get time to attend, but it has my interest.
