Generic multifunction mini-remote, bought for about $5 US at a local store. I put the remote on code search mode and clicked away until the shutter fired.

I didn't want the Pentax remote because it was just too small and I knew I would lose it in no time. This generic remote fits great in my big hands, it doesn't look like a TV remote (no number keypad), and only has a few other buttons.

You can AF with the IR. This is a function in the camera. If you enable AF with IR, the camera will focus and then fire.

Ivoire, how do you like the Roxsen remote?? I need a new remote with some reach to it and yours looks like it might fit the bill, and cheap too. Any recommendation on where to purchase?
