Well.... i had another go at it last night. Turns out that there are about 6 spots on the sensor that are stuck! Stuck on good and proper. The eclipse and sensor swipe with more pressure doesn't even move them around the at all. I got all the rest off but those few spots remain.

Anyone got any ideas?
cheers

Mike, I think it is time to go to a good camera repair place and have them get it off. If the sensor is damaged by them, they should go for the fix on their own hook. If those spots are on there so firmly that the eclipse won't remove them, you need the heavy guns.

Agreed. I've never had anything actually stuck on a sensor, so all I've ever needed is a can of compressed gas.
