I set off to do some shooting this past weekend. The day was cloudy so I set the WB manually. When the sun came out as it eventually did, I forgot to reset the WB - from now on it is staying on AUTO.
It so ruined many of my shots because I just don't have the time and energy to WB-adjust so many shots - I will try to see if I can automate the process. My fault I know , I'm not in any way blaming Pentax or the camera.

Do you shoot in RAW? If so it's a quick fix (I know cause I've made the same mistake more often than I'd like to admit). Also, do you check your shots on the screen? I'm not sure which camera your using, but it usually only happens to me for one or two shots before I notice.
I read somewhere once that it's a good habit to get into of setting your camera back to a personal default after EVERY outing to shoot. I'm still working on developing that habit.
Lightroom can do a batch conversion of WB. Works best if you were shooting in RAW, but it works for JPEG as well. If you don't have it already you can try it free for 30 days, could solve this one problem at least.
To do it, go to the first picture with the "wrong" WB, adjust the temp to what you want, select the rest of the pictures with the same "wrong" WB, click the sync button and only select WB sync. Probably take you less than a minute. I do it all the time. I shoot raw with Auto WB, and usually always change the WB for changing conditions in Lightroom.
If you try it you are going to be tempted to buy it. It's a great program for workflow and mass editing, I used to hate post processing but LR makes it pretty simple.
Stuff like this is reaosn alone to shoot RAW - and there are just so many others reasons to.
But, to fix the problem after the fact, there are options, and you should be able to do all the affected images in one big batch. Lightroom as mention provides this ability, but so do many other photo editing packages. What do you normally use?
Thanks cecald - unfortunately, the settings needed to be changed in the middle of the shoot so your suggestion wouldn't have helped me.
I shoot jpeg.
Lastly, yes, it would seem my PhotoImpact does the batch process of the WB as well so will try when I have the time.
Thanks ALL, for your suggestions.

You can also batch process wb changes in raw, jpeg and tiff files in the last version of Adobe Bridge, by just changing one, copying changes and applying settings to others.

Unless I am in really strange lighting conditions, I leave it in daylight. I did not have WB adjustment when I shot film, and corrections are easy in a photo editer
It would be easier on you if you shot RAW, but seeing as you didn't - you are still able to fix it. Go into photoshop and play with the temperature levels, tinting and saturation or your photos, and find the right level where the photos are "normal".

Yup, that's da way its goin' to be for me too.

I leave mine in Auto and have no complaints with the results. The very few times when I don't like it I can easily adjust in PP. I'm as absent minded as the worse of any of us and also try to remember to reset my camera to my normal settings whenever I change something I don't mess with often. There have been times when I forgot and I thought my camera was broken.

Stick to RAW or RAW+JPG and handle the WB in PP.
Nothing will be ruined then.... , unless its is you messing up things.

Jimbo, thanks pal.
Just bought some larger CF cards so I'll be doing some RAW shooting soon - but again, it depends how much work is involved.
As suggested above tho, I'll be keeping my WB on auto or daylight.
