Can this be true?

While browsing at Pentax Photo Gallery, I found this:

PENTAX Photo Gallery

The image info says K10+18-55 lens, attached to some ballon, at 60°F BELOW!.

There is no contact information for the photographer. In fact, this photographer has ONLY this photo at PPG.

I have the following questions regarding this image:

1) How was the camera triggered?
2) How was the camera recovered after its sub-space flight?
3) How long did the camera "flew" hanging from the ballon?
4) How was the camera protected from low temperature in order to keep it working under such low conditions? or -What kind of battery /power supply was used that could still operate under such low temperatures?

If anyone here know the photographer (ANDY ARENA) or has some answers for this, it would be much appreciated.

Search FTW!!!:

Pentax k10d in space

There has been a lot of traffic on these sets of pictures in July on many forums. Ned B. also has commented on these photos on his blog. The above thread has the answers for your questions.

Well, all answers cleared. That is a heck of a photograph. And of course, a heck of an achievement for the team. My congratulations for everyone involved.
