A good read.
Interestingly these two fellows use Lightroom and Aperture, and CS4 less often. The less expensive software seems to be able to do what they want quite well...

Their sample images are awesome too.

I was a bit surprised too. But obviously those plugins can do some small miracles that would otherwise demand a more feature-laden processor.

I should really look into buying Aperture, eh?!

I don't think our school offers Lightroom for free like they do for Photoshop.

Oops - must have suffered a blonde moment.

Still it seems a great many graphic designers/design houses/photography studios tend to favor Apple Mac Desktops/Laptops.

And still I'm wondering why - as they cost a premium compared to the rest.

Regards

Dylan

Generally speaking, most people would prefer a Mac for managing their media. My friends who are on Windows typically just use folders and sub-folders to manage all of their pictures and videos.

A great number of the digital media world happens inside of the Mac and at this point it may very well be momentum, but Photoshop even not that long ago was a very different program for the Mac, and still has small differences that make it hard for me to use on Windows at this point.
