Whats your favorite camera/lens combo?

I thought this would be a fun thread for everyone to share their favorite combo(s)

So whats your favorite lens to use with the X camera body? If you have multiple bodies and a different favorite for each post all of them

Please add why it is your favorite, and maybe a *few* (read 1-3) samples.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for me....

#1. Pentax K-7 & Pentax F 135mm - makes a killer combo thats nearly unstoppable AF is as fast as it gets, and sharpness is right up there with the best. The lens really seems to do best with my K-7

#2. Pentax K200d & Pentax K 50mm F/1.2 - The lens really shines on the k200d body for whatever reason. Plus with the addition of a split prism focusing screen, MF @ F/1.2 is a breeze Also ISO performance on the K200d is actually very good with decent NR, and the SR is MUCH better than the K-7's = perfect combo in any light.

I will play:

K-7 + FA* 28-70mm: Compact and responsive camera with a great user interface, tack sharp lens, contrasty, fast autofocus, just the right focal length interval for most of my photos.

Me too (only one configuration?):

On my k20, the DA*16-50 f2.8 is my best combination and my go to configuration for any serious shoot indoors and out. It just gives me the best range and image quality time and time again. My second favorite on the k20 is the DA 17-70 f4 SDM lens for daylight shooting.

On my k10 with it's Katzeye split image view finder, this is hard, so often it's the back up for the k20 and very often has some UWA lens on it but really it's my go to camera when I want to shoot any of the fast (f1.4) manual focus lens and of those the Vivitar 85mm f1.4 is my favorite - it's a beast to use but when it's right it just works.

On my k100ds it's the Tamron 18-250 travel lens. It's a light weight combo that produces go snaps.

K20D + 18-55WR + Flash + led light.

As cheap as it gets and works for just about any event although the tradeoff is the bokeh if any.

eg,

taken at F/4.

K-7 with Sigma EX 70-200/f2.8. Constantly amazed at its sharpness and focus speed.

Depends on what week you ask. This week, the K7 with the DA12-24 or the DFA100 WR. A few weeks ago, the DA*16-50 was fused to the camera. Last week, the Voigtlander 180 saw the most action (because I just got it )

My K10d spends most of it's time in the case but when it comes out, it's some manual focus lens, typically, one of the 50s.

My SPII and my 105MM Takumar. I'd love to be able to get the 85MM and the 135MM too just to be able to expand my portrait range just that much more, but that 105MM is just superb and I'm totally in love with it. Portrait lenses are the most important lenses in my kit for me and I think this lens does a really nice job of it.

Digital: K-7 with A 50/1.2.
Film: ME Super with A 50/1.2.

FA limited lenses are good but A 50/1.2 is so much better.

K-x with DA40 LTD.

What's a DSLR? This is just an outdated, really old chunky point & shoot. Don't look at me.
