Compare the K20D with the D300 (Nikon) and D50 (Canon), and the Pentax is doing very good figure, not just an "also ran". It also fares a lot better than the Olympus E3.

Especially when you look at what the actual ISOs are, vs. what is reported by the camera. The Pentax are closer to the real value than the Nikons and Canons (eg. the D300's ISO 800 is actually ISO 571, while the K10D's is 734 and the K20D's is 682.

Mind you, I'm a bit disheartened by that rampant ISO "cheating"...

I get the feeling the Canon 50D ain't going to do as well as the 40D as far as sales go.

Interesting how the K10D beats the K20D except for high ISO. I thought dpreview said the dynamic range of the K20D was higher?

and the gx20 beats the k10d which beats the k20d ...but gx20 and k20d use the same sensor.....hummm?

Which would lead one to believe that even RAW files are processed to a certain extent.
