Business card ideas - opinions needed

I am looking at making some new business cards

any opinions would be great

I can't decide which one I want to use

The red car stands out more, but the white car is cleaner

Personally, I'd pick the white.

Looking at the red one I see:

HAHA.. Hide your daughters!

I like both, just 'and design' that 'hide your daughters' bit out of the image..

Actually, I'd remove any adverts in the image as well, unless of course you have an agreement with them, etc..

FYI - I saw a really neat business card idea. They're mini-cd-roms that have been cut to business card dimensions on one dimension.. Very small and, you can print on the outside liek anormal business card but, you can upload some sample images to the disc. Very slick and cheap too!

Maybe the first one; but maybe something completely different. A simple, minimalist design is very "in", nowadays.
Posting the phone number for everyone to see probably wasn't that good an idea

Ya, I could do that, but I want something that shows my work too.

I'm not really worried....and what makes you think that's my actual number?

I would suggest going with the first one, love the "dueling autos" look - much more dynamic, exciting. You could also fade the auto images a bit so that you can still see them but not have them take over your info.

Now if you're going with a standard business card dimensions, you are going to need to bring up your telephone/email address so that it overlaps your photo a bit. This too adds to the dynamics of the design.

Love your action shots!

Juuuuust checking

Why don't you make yourself a website? Everybody has internet access nowadays. You could include the URL with your business card, and draw up some trendy, eye catching graphics for your business card.

I do business cards all the time, I will be doing one next week and making new ones for my company this spring. I use a compay based out of Florida called DPG Ink, dpgink.com, you get 2500 cards for $65, 4 color both sides, best deal on the net. For your cards I would do one side with a picture, no text, nothing, chose a picture that says it all, you have a couple nice ones there, and on the other side that is where you put your contact information and what you do. Here are a couple proofs that I did for my sister Print Proofs

I saw an add for these in last Sunday's newspaper. Photo on one side - text on the other. A different look - sort of a smattering of images out to the users.

MOO.com | MiniCards

No I have not bought any yet - just thought it might be interesting to have someone else take a look. They see to have been pretty popular around Christmas time last year.

Interesting, but if someone handed me one of those to pass off as a business card, my first thought would be, "Business must be bad, can't afford a whole card, only half."

Buddha, checked out their website (DPGInk.com) and they seem to have great prices. Have you had any issues with bad print runs and required reprints? If so, what was the turnaround time?

My only beef is their minimum order - 2500 units pretty much rules out 90% of the folks that would want business cards or rack cards made by us
