Questions about EXIF

This evening, I was going through the Post Your Photos forum and I was checking the EXIF data, and noticed a couple of things I don't understand, (actually, there is a lot I don't understand) and thought I might could get clarification. BTW, I own the K100D, and the particular photo in mind was taken with the K100D. The data showed:

Exposure Program = Aperture Priority
F Number = F11
Shutter Speed Value = 7.97 Tv
Aperture Value = 6.92 Av
ISO 200

My basic question is regarding the F-stop number. Since the shot was taken in Aperture mode, at F11, why does the Aperture value show up as 6.92?

Thanks

I would have to guess but I think these are the values in stops or light values, given the ISO setting, and apature selection.

when I looked at some of the exif for my K10D it gave the light values (Lv) for each of the 16 sensors.
