Now if I could only figure out what to photograph 18 to 32 miles away. Clearly visible birds and wildlife are usually less then 360-ft away (the minimum focusing distance). Ah, now I have it. This would be just perfect for low-profile beach candids. After all, who would ever notice a 6.5-ft, 220-lbs, lens (with "rigid stand") mounted on a camera?

Can I use it with my 2x teleconverter? Also, with extension tubes, would this be a good macro lens?
