It looks like she's going to be hitting land not too far from my neck of the woods if she stays on her predicted track. I've stocked up on the bottled water and charged the camera batteries and I've put new batteries in the flashlight; I just need to charge my cell phone battery and closer to landfall, pull in the birdfeeders and houses, and other stuff that might blow around. I may have to ride out the storm by myself with the cats since the husband will likely have to ride it out at the prison he works at (he's in prison administration) because they may be be getting some inmates evaucated from at least one other prison.
Fortunately, if the power goes out, it shouldn't stay out for too long as my house is downtown and City Hall, and the police and fire departments are within a 5 minute walk from the house.
Within reason, I'm going to try my best to get some good pics, as it's not everyday that a hurricane/TS comes through.
If nothing else, I might wind up getting a day or 2 or 3 off of work.

As a fellow Floridian I know what you're up against. I lost an apartment and most of my stuff in Charley. I'm working in Europe right now so I'll miss this one.
One suggestion, buy a car charger for your cell phone. That way you can charge it if the power stays off for a while like Orlando had after Charley.
Heather, as a Floridian you, of course, know not to take any silly chances like the tourists do. Hopefully it will slide past you quickly and then maybe stall over northeast Georgia for a short while.....the lakes up there need it badly.
