that could apply to so many things today japanese or not. I think manga (though don't quote me as I am not into any of this) is a more 'adult' (not always pornographic) long comic style story.

At least, that is the case in Japanese. How the meaning of the word has been altered by adoption into English is something I don't know about, since the manga craze in the West started long after I left. Sort of like how the photographers of the world have adopted the term ボケ (boke....inexplicably mistransliterated as "bokeh") with a far narrower usage than it has in Japanese.

Isn't it amazing how almost all of those police sketches look the same?
I've always been amazed how they can arrest people based on them... though funny enough that pic actually does look like me. Pat
