Do Pentaxians rock?

Or you're listnening some other kind of music?
I'm listnenig mostly rock, and by that I mean hard rock
AC/DC is my favourite band, and then everything similar (Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, UFO, and so on...) including british metal wave (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath etc.)
And there comes a bit of blues, soul, funk... actually, everything with good rhythm, but as long as people are playing and not electronic things and stuff (techno, rave)
Anyway, I would say I'm rocker
Do you rock? Or you're blues? Punk? Classic? Folk?

Does doom metal count?

I don't like a particular genre, I just like songs. My all-time favourite band is Queen - they've dabbled in all kinds of genres, even going to hard rock; then glam; then pop. Even opera!

All that aside, probably Anathema, Dimmu Borgir, Roxette(!). And many more I can't even recall.

Queen are great! Just recently I heard Brighton Rock song for first time, and it's kickin'! Brian May is killing guitar in solo on that one, and Freddie is going on high tones like it's pitch manipulated

By all means!
Definitely another vote for Queen!
Add ELO (Electric Light Orchestra), Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Yes, among others.
I like classic rock!

I also like most other forms of music to one degree or another, but my car radio stays mostly tuned to the classic rock station.

Rock on!
Heather

I would add them, but adding all great bands I like would take so much space and time
These are just on the top of mountain

I'm not really a "type" person, if I like a song then I like it, it doesn't matter what genre it is.

My "everyday" music though, and my choice if I really had to pick one type, is classic soul with a bit of classic disco thrown in.

Currently listening to Fela Kuti and before that some cold synth wave from France. In my recent playlist: Yoko Ono, Icebreaker International, Kinetic Ideals, DAF, Delia Derbyshire, Breathless, Ravi Shankar, Cindytalk and The Wild Swans. My latest music article was about Bourbonese Qualk.

I like most kinds of music except for country and rap...

It really depends what I am doing...

Normally the music I mostly listen to classic rock (The Who, Queen, Stones...), lots of 80's hair bands (KISS, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Judas Priest...) and some odd stuff like the Blue Man Group.

When relaxing, or to fall asleep at night, I like "easy listening" stuff (John Denver, Elton John, Simon & Garfunkle)

When doing cardio at the gym then it's mostly club dance music, with a good beat for jogging (Tiesto mixes, Underworld, Chemical Brothers...)

When lifting weights, then I go for aggressive stuff (Lords of acid, manson, prodigy, mudvayne, rage against the machine, nin...)

Pat

Would you believe twangy C&W and classic bluegrass (30's - 60's)?

Lots of classic rock & heavy metal for me. Led Zeppelin, The Who, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Metallica (mostly pre-1990), Motorhead, Judas Priest, Anthrax... I also like blues a lot. Just about all I can't stand is country & what passes for dance music nowadays.

I didn't really mean "what kind of music do you listen", but rather "what kind of music do you prefer"

>monochrome: why not?
