Digital pinhole camera for fun

Found that this morning on Instructables... pretty cool idea!

build a digital pin-hole camera

It's so simple, I wonder why I didn't think of it!

I have one, but don't have good pics up on flicr with the digital - I use a film camera mostly. Although I was planning on fixing up my MF pinhole on the bellows this weekend...

I experimented a bit with aluminium foil in front of a macro extension ring. I wrapped it nicely around the edges of the ring and used the smallest needle I could find to make the hole.
Did some crappy shots inside only. I should really try again outside while summer (or autumn, it's hard to tell atm.) lasts.

This is with the pinhole on a ZX-10. The fogging is from the viewfinder, if you shoot long exposures on a tripod you'll need to block the viewfinder hole.

I say the best way to make long exposures is with a mechanical film camera. No batteries, no worries!

My Zenit-E is so cool it doesn't even need a cable release to do bulb!
