I believe they use Nikon D2XS's or now D3's

Just thought it was pretty cool. Wonder how much that setup would cost on the street? LOL

Kinda bulky for street shooting, wouldn't you say?

Given their suit gloves are valued at like $2mil a pair and the amount of milspec testing they do on a paper clip I'm afraid to know how much that camera setup is worth.

Back in the '80s I worked at a component test facility and we had a contract with a DoD supplier. I recall one batch of timer chips they sent us that when they hit our receiving dock each chip was worth about $0.17 and by the time we were done testing them each one was worth $25.00 and had 65 pages of documentation to go with it.

I think they're still using Nikon D2X, which Nikon has to custom manufacture with a spaceflight-approved lubrication (Braycote?) that can works in vacuum and extreme temperatures.
