Perhaps not. Read this post by a Newsweek photographer covering the Olympics. In the post, he laments the non-performance of his top of the line Canon gear. I guess there isn't a perfect answer, in spite of the money spent.

with regards that "is the grass greener"

for all those photogs it is - could you spot a Pentax in the lineup of cameras?

It would really be comforting to see some shots other than from Canon & Nikon at these events.

I actually enjoyed the comment made about "back focusing" issues, now where have i seen those issues before? and you can bet it's happening with people with "black" lenses too!

Is the grass always greener on the other side??....absolutely!...just beware the barbed wire fence when crossing thats all.

If the grass is too green, just desaturate to taste in PP.

He's thinking about switching to black lenses? Nice to see Takumars getting some respect.

Sounds like his main problem was "lack of paying attention". That is an equal opportunity problem regardless of what brand camera you use.
