Magnum 1,

That deserves an Oscar and a Pulitzer prize and, perhaps a Nobel Prize.

I wonder why so many drivers wern't aware that driving on the snowy part of the road instead of the ice might have got them up the hill.

Four more inches here in Toronto last night and a really big dump expected on Friday.

That's funny. Shows the difference in snow tires vs all season I bet. Sad to say, been there, done that.

Thats funny!

I guess thats why in this province, real winter tires are now mandatory from dec to march. They do make a huge difference and reduce the number of accidents considerably.

I hear ya. We get a lot of folks from Illinois that come up during the winter. They pass you on the hiway doing 80, but you know you will see them again further down the road............in a snow bank. Happens all the time.

I'm amazed that there weren't any accidents. I really can't comment on trying to drive on ice, as I've spent my whole life living in the southern US, mostly in Florida. Today it's 80 degrees outside and I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
