Maybe some guy needs a rewind knob and bought it for parts.

Did you see the Q&A at the bottom? Anybody stupid enough to ask that question seriously would be stupid enough to buy the ex-camera.

I'm taking a hammer to my *istD!!! I need a second K20D . This is wild 24 Bids???? And the question Mike referred to even made the seller laugh.

Q: "Noo funtions at all" Can you quarantee? Any warranty? 11-Dec-08
A: I am always open to serious inquiries. Apart from that, also to any joke. What seems interesting, this camera provokes soo much, and I do not know why. Maybe the reason is, that this piece of trash gets more attention and also more money, than a fully functionating Canon or Nikon of the same period.

I really don't understand this at all. The second place bidder was at $777.00 and has a feedback over 2000. What are they bidding on?

And considering this one sold for less in good working condition.

Leica M3 SS working condition but with dent - eBay, 35mm Rangefinder, Film Cameras, Cameras Photo. (end time 18-Dec-08 10:17:44 AEDST)

I guess the black one is very rare

I wish I could have answered that inquiry.

"Can you guarantee?"
"Yes, I guarantee it has no functions at all."

"Any warranty?"
"Yes, if for any reason the camera starts working you may return it for a full refund."

Let's get real here. A destroyed Leica M3 body is not worth $787. For that kind of money it should include a destroyed lens as well.

no, it is most definitely not. I have seen pristine versions sell for less than this. Ive even seen a Wehrmacht full outfit sell for less than that price. its ebay, what else can you say?

It makes me wonder if it's some way for Terrorists to covertly move money around.... buy junk at amazingly high prices and you can move 750+ from country to country without drawing undue attention.

I'm not a black helicopter sort of guy, but I can't see any other explanation...

Nah, thats nickles and dimes...

They probably do it the same way the mob, street gangs and bikers do it... move money thru casinos...
