| Gotta disagree on Gran Torino. I thought it was horrendously acted (yes, including Clint, who just growled through the entire thing) and I thought the storyline was sort of insultingly predictable.
That said, it was pretty hilarious to watch him be completely over the top racist for two hours.
Nowhere near Unforgiven, which is a top film of all time. The more movies Clint directs, the more I think that one was a total fluke. (edit: though Letters from Iwo Jima was pretty good)
Best I've seen recently were A Christmas Tale (French film about a very dysfunctional family), Synecdoche New York (incredibly strange), Let the Right One In (very odd Swedish vampire film), Man on Wire (awesome documentary about an awesome feat), and I also liked Benjamin Button, even if it has serious problems at times.
