Best Motion Picture in years.

"Gran Torino"

Eastwood's best performance ever in one of the best movie offerings in years.

I have really wanted to see that since I first saw the previews. good to know you liked it, that means I really should see it. I know people have been talking non stop about Eastwood's performance.

Gotta see that along with the Wrestler. Slumdog Millionaire was very good too.

Trailers look awesome.

Day the Earth Stood Still was a TOTAL disappointment.
Seems like there was 20-30 minutes of film on the cutting room floor, as all of a sudden, within the last 4-5 minutes EVERYTHING happened, EVERYTHING was fixed, and the movie abruptly ended.

I walked away feeling let down.

Gran Torino, however, looks VERY good from the trailers, and I've always loved Clint Eastwood.

Yes, they are, but they don't even show the scope of the movie

Glad to know that it wasn't just me. That movie was, in fact, a big dissappointment.

How do you compare Gran Torino to Unforgiven??..I think that Unforgiven is perhaps the best Clint Eastwood performance that I have seen, although I also liked Million Dollar Baby..

Rather than me trying to make comparisons between the two.

Go see "Gran Torino" and judge for your self. My thought, as in the first post, Eastwood's best performance ever.

While I've never been a big follower of Clint Eastwood, the husband wanted to see Gran Torino, so off we went to the movies on Saturday night. I have to say that is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'm in agreement that the trailers don't really give you a clue as to how good this movie really is. Along with a storyline that you can actually get into, it's a movie that makes you think. There aren't too many movies that I want to see a second time, but this is one of them. Don't wait until the DVD comes out--this one is worth paying full price for at the theater.

Just my 2¢...

Don't miss Benjamin Button if you liked Mr Black. Gran Torino was good too bad nothing like that will ever happen in reality, at least not in my time.

I wanna see this movie really bad. I mean, an old white guy shooting kids throughout the whole movie. EXCELLENT!
Sorry, but that's what the TV previews make it look like, old white guy having a turf war with "ghetto" asian kids...

I'm looking forward to "Gran Torino" myself. The whole house was under the weather so we didn't get a chance this past weekend. It's gonna have to be good to knock "Pulp Fiction" out of the top spot...

That movie was filmed right here in Detroit. Not only that but my company actually did the insurance for the movie while it was in town.
