Uhh it is not folklore. If you have a car with pneumatic power locks, the tennis ball trick works. The VAST majority of power locks are NOT pneumatic and never were. These days, I don't know of any modernmanufacutred car (at least in the US) using them.

There are several kinds of power door lock mechanisms, don't go assuming you have met them all.

If this is the case then there might be some Fords out there with the same problem as well. I believe that my Tempo was at least designed by Mazda, however I never trust the locks anyways.

well i figer if some one REALLY wonted to get in they will if i am at home they will be get to meet my 12 gage and the 3 in mag 00 buck shot in it or my 20 gage with the 3 in mag 00 buck shot in it. so if i am home well they will not have a very good day i do have renters inshorince for when i am not home.
