Yup, Blue, that's called desertion.

As for me, I've given up my seat on the bus (multiple times) for uniformed soldiers who are on their way to work or on their way home.

There has been some progress. The internet helps spread the love (and hate as well unfortunately) a lot more than the drugs ever did. The two of them together are awesome though.

There is a debate currently going on whether the surge was the real reason for the decrease in violence or whether it was ethnic cleansing on a neighborhood by neighborhood level which finally brought a somewhat stable environment.

The surge occurred at the same moment when the ethnic cleansing was peaking, its going to be difficult if not impossible to tell which was ultimately responsible for the success we've seen.
