geotagging photos?

I know some people are interested in this, including myself. I know the debate sort of ended with the size and battery consumption being issues.

well....if my phone can do it? do you think the cameras can?

I'm definitely looking into it, but don't have much information yet. Mainly, I'd like to know which GPS units are compatible with the Pentax cameras (or if it doesn't matter), so I can basically use it seamlessly while taking photos.

Sony GPS-CS3KA

I was looking at this unit, but the website doesn't list any Pentax cameras as compatible.

at this point for pentax there is no unit that will do it as you take photos, but don;t let this stop you.

I have a Garmin GPS, and I have it programmed to write to the memory chip each second.

I use GeoSetter to add the exif info to the photos in post processing it is done as a bacth function once I am satisfied the time sync is correct.

Just came across this one, that seems to be able to mount to any Standard Hotshoe (ISO 518:2006).

Jobo PhotoGPS

If you look at the details on the website, it looks pretty good, it even records City, Street, Country, in a searchable database once you're done.
