Zeiss Ikon Value??

I am acquiring a Zeiss Ikon rangefinder camera with a lens.

Can someone give me a rough idea of a value range? I do not know what lens is on it, as my sister in law is sending it to me (she does estate sales) and a camera in her hands is a foreign object!!

Depends on the model & lens - the Super Ikontas with coupled rangefinders and Tessars in good condition are worth a good amount, while the lesser, non-rf, Novar equipped ones are usually fairly cheap. That is if you're talking 120 film... I suppose the same goes for 35mm Zeiss Ikon.

Why not go browse around ebay to get a sense?

It's going to vary wildly according to lens quality and condition.

Since you already have it coming, it'll be worth what images you can get with it. I'd have a bright light inside the bellows to look for leaks, then listen to the shutter and try running a roll through.

It's either worth about what you paid for it, or it it worth more or worth less than you paid for it.

used i've been seeing them go from $900 to $1000
Zeiss ZM 25, 28, 35, 50's usually go for ~$400-$600 depending which one
