Say no to pixel peeping - Bring back the latent image!

The feature of digital cameras that turns me off most is the LCD and its associated controls.
Apparently I am not the only person who feels this way: No! LCD "Semi" Digital Camera

Funny, everytime I pick up the MX and take a pic, I reflexively look at the back of the camera. It's not an LCD though, just the lid of the cardboard box the film came in LOL!

pixel peeping?

more like, say goodbye to histogram!

no thank you, i like to know NOW that i'm not screwing up, rather than later.

a case that is only amplified when clients, money, and one-time events are involved.

Hey, I've always called digital a 'Glorified Polaroid back' ...It may as well at least keep doing *that.*

As Pavel would say "Use a light Meter and you won't screw up".

you think people will wait for you to use a light meter?

whenever we're out, i dont mind because i understand

everyone else gets annoyed like "whats the matter, why does it take so long to take a picture?"

that would be cool. a less complicated less expensive digital would be just fine by me. I don't use the LCD anyhow. especially on the istD. 1.8" is a no-go. I find it pointless. I know my metering and exposure well enough that I don't need to review the LCD or check a histogram. and when I do doubt myself the Sekonic is always there. the LCD is useful for a lot of people, but I think it would be great to have the option of a good DSLR body without it.
