Long wood sounds nice and so does Philly. If all else fails and it turns out to be a rainy day we could go to Harrahs in West Chester Or there is an option of something in Amish country. When I talked to Tracy last night she would love a chance at DC again Depending on the Date.

Unhappy Doubt I can make it.

I sure had fun on the two (DC & Gettysburg) last year. As a business trip, I may get to spend most of March back in Manassas, VA or Boise, ID (or maybe split between them). If the stars line up, I'd love to join in on the NE US Spring thing. But don't go scheduling around me. My travel plans are way fuzzy at this point. Regardless, if I do make it back to Manassas, I'll try to hook up with 1 or 2 of you (Tracy, Brendan, Sean, Alan, David) for a Sat. or Sunday if possible.

Mark,
You get back to Manassas and give us all a shout and I know we will make time to meet and do another shoot. Brendan is ready I think Sean will make it and I will make it. I know we can get some more that are close. I know Tracy is working like mad with work and her daughters skating. Last I heard she was complaining there were to many good shots to process (2500) since she got her K10. I still have my DL but I did get a Zenitar finally. and I guess I'll see what this year brings before I commit to a K10.
so let us know when you're going to get by and we'll get together.

Virginia - April 22

So, I just posted in the "everything else" category, then came over here to post another message and found the "get togethers" thread. So, it you're in the VA area, go here - Virginia, anyone? (April 22) and let me know whether you're nearby and available :).

Ok guys and gals,
For those of us in the North East it is getting to be that time of year. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for a group shoot?? I was thinking Williamsburg VA. might be nice. Anyone else have any suggestions?? What dates would be good for a get together.

This is an easy one for me. I'd do Williamsburg. I could even put a couple of people up at my house.

Grant, I live in the suburb of Sunnybank. I'm interested.

Where do you want to shoot? Gold Coast hinterland, Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, Brisbane City Botanic Gardens?

Later, in Spring, I'd like to do a panorama shoot in Toowoomba Botanic Gardens.

Dan.

G'day Grant, Dan & other Qlders,
I'd love to do a group shoot if anyone's venturing to Toowoomba (work's got me tied up here until the end of the year...).
If so, do let me know!
Cheers all.

Hello Keith, Dan & Ash,
To give this a bit of time to get around and to give people time to organise diaries etc I was thinking of the Toowoomba annual garden event...not sure what its called, but perhaps Ash could jump in with some info. Pretty sure its held in the spring, and with the wet(ter) weather it should be in good shape.

Perhaps a weekend event? Check out some motels and have a bit of a social time as well as photog. Naturally spouses/partners/families are included.

All ideas only and very much open to any input.
Cheers
Grant

Good idea, Grant.
The event I think you're referring to is the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers held every September.
This year it's on between the 19th and 28th.
More info here:
Carnival of Flowers, and here:
Toowoomba Festival of Flowers, and for accommodation, look here:
Toowoomba and the Darling Downs - Tourism - Accommodation - Restaurants - Things to see and do - Events - Holidays - Deals - Home

Last year's was very nice despite the massive water restrictions - so this year will hopefully be even better. Didn't get much of a chance to enjoy it last year, so I look forward to this one...

Yes, that's the event I'm interested in. What was the festival like in Sept 2007 with the drought?
