Trebuchet Video

I told some of you a while back that I would post a link to a video of the trebuchet we built some years ago, when we first built this are long shot was 887' with a 10lb pumpkin with modifications we were able to get up to a little over 1100' feet with the same size pumpkin and over 1200' with a 16lb bowling ball.

here is a picture.

The first part of the video is a little slow, it gets a little more impressive towards the end.

Here is a link to the video YouTube - Night shift 2 rev1 vid

I hope you enjoy.

That is really awsome. By far one of the best built trebuchets I have ever seen. University engineers involved?

Are you not worried that The Obama will take away your rights to own and operate Medival weaponry?

Nice work!

Thanks for looking It was a great project. No engineers involved. at least any with formal training. My job title is field engineer, but I went to the school of hard knocks.

If he wants it I guess he can come get it, we will give it to him..... pumpkins first.

Here is a link to some photos from the original, gives you a little better ideal of the size.
