regarding software piracy..

there is a website that i have been following ever since its inception (1998). Just two guys that play video games, drew comics, and tackled various video game related news in a blog.

over the years it grew into something larger than life.. but thats a different story.

The main writer, with a pen name of Tycho Brahe is a favorite of mine, i love his rhetoric and i appreciate the fact that few people write like him..

anyway to the point of Software Piracy, you may read the whole article here:

Penny Arcade - Babicide , you may skip to the second paragraph where he tackles the issue of Infinity Ward removing dedicated servers for their clientel.

but here is an excerpt that made me chucle all day.

"A centralized defense against piracy is also suggested, and things tend to go downhill quick after this. It is not a mischaracterization to say that conversations with the hardcore PC community about software theft follow these tenets:

- There is no piracy.
- To the extent that piracy exists, which it doesn't, it's your fault.
- If you try to protect your game, we'll steal it as a matter of principle."
