Halloween Warning!

I just saw on CNN where Pat Robertson is at it again with his "messages from God" and this time he is warning us that Witches and Goblins have tainted this years supply of Halloween candy with evil spirits. Apparently the Witches have "prayed over" a big batch of M&M's and other misc candy in an effort to do whatever it is that Witches and Goblins do.
So be very careful this year, and protect your children from the evils of left wing Witches and Goblins....I just assume that they must be left wing, since all evil originates on the left of Pat Robertson.....right! I'm most interested in seeing if anyone will come out in this scary environment to defend this fool? Surely he is too far right for even the strongest right wingers here......?
Regards
Rupert....Thinking of your safety!

There are some witches and goblins at work....they have a jar of candy on their desk and "offer" it to anyone unwise to be tempted. One offered me half their lunch once when I forgot mine....said he had way too much and weren't going to eat it anyways....ya right! They are always trying to do "nice" things...like organize get togethers or get people to bring in stuff for the needy at Christmas. That's a sure sign of left leaning muckery.... I'm not going to be fooled....

Yep! I'll back him!

Sure the guy gets worked up from time to time and he don't always say the right things like you, (you do have everything all figured out... right?) but for the MOST of what he says can be backed up by the Holy Bible. I'm 44 and the more I read the bible & watch what's going on around me, I think the Bible's got it right. EXACTLY RIGHT! Call me crazy, but I do believe in SATAN! thank Goodness I have my reservation payed in FULL with his son! What a waco I must be! But thats just us guys on the religious right, we got nothin better to do.

You guys got all the fun stuff: pornography, homosexuality, tree worshiping, the feeling of entitlement, PBS, feelings for the criminal, hate of the death penalty (yep, I said it!), anti war protesting, love of reproductive rights??? (whatever those are ), hatred of that little "wrong time for you to show up" thing in your belly that kicks every once in a while, hatred of guns, on & on & on.

All we got is boring old greed (the workin hard for it kind), family (normal (0 or 1 Man & 0 or 1 Woman & as many kids as you want & even the ones you didn't want, you'll end up lovin them anyway!)), guns (bigger the better, full auto with black stalks), life (no matter when it starts), fox news (24-7 baby), and the occasional unjustified war (iraq, afghanistan, vietnam, korea???( I don't know, did you guys hate that one too))! Heck, we don't even go to the libraries, we buy our own books! absolutely nuts!

I know what yer thinkin! "Hey! don't the Bible talk down on the stuff he just wrote? I know I heard somebody say that stuffs bad in the Bible." Is it?? We'll just have to read it for ourselves wont we?

God bless YOU!
God bless America!
God bless the sinners like ME!

And may He make himself known to you!
'cause you need a reservation brother!

I won't class hatred of guns as un-Christian or visa versa.

I certainly don't believe in "celebrating" Halloween. I do believe in the forces of darkness and I do believe in an adversary. So I won't encourage anyone to become fascinated in the dark side. It reminds me of a deer staring into the headlights of an approaching truck. Familiarity may breed contempt & complacency, but I believe evil is a insidious, potent, corrosive force that should not be dabbled in, however innocuous it appears.

Isn't that similar to how drug addiction starts?

I'm not like those weak druggies.
I'm smart, adventurous, strong and in control.
I can take this stuff or do these things and it won't harm me.
I know when to stop.
..

It's the Way, the Truth & the Life, Jesus, for me.

Dan.

I'll see you there, dosdan

Sorry, I kind of go off on people that jump on a Christian that makes a mistake. Sometime in their life, someone told them that Christians think they are perfect, when in reality the more I grow in Christ the more aware of my own sin. To be more like Christ is the direction we all try to go as "real" Christians, but thats where my Lord knows I fall short allot!

ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God! ALL

The "guns" thing for me is kind of like money. Money is NOT the root of all evil. The LOVE of money is. Don't hate the guns, hate the baggage of sin that likes to use guns as one of its preferred tools.

Want to get rid of guns?
Why don't you get rid of the biggest sin tool first? Money!

"well ya can't get rid of money, that would just be crazy, you can't do that!"

... right! lets go after the sin, then guns & money won't be such a big issue.

Have a Great Day!

boy, I need some sleep, don't I!

Allow me to clear up a few things....I am not bashing Christians, they do a wonderful job of that all by themselves, unfortunately. Pat is not a guy that makes a few mistakes, he makes tons of them and drives away more than the attracts, which is the problem with too many Christians today.
It is difficult for me to find the Devil in a bag of M&M's and if Goblins come in a Snickers Bar, I just gobbled down a delicious one a few minutes ago! Maybe he would have been more credible if he a had asked parents across America to go to their local child sex offender website and see it light up with all the loose perverts out there this Halloween and take measures to prevent their children from harm than to look inside a KitKat Bar for some evil Witch? I could have respected that, but not some insane rant on Hershey Bars and BabyRuths. If these guys want to be taken seriously, they need to act accordingly. Group this along with those that stand in the pulpit and proclaim that Democrats go straight to Hell, and you can see that there is little wonder that so few are interested in Jesus. He is being slandered by His own "proclaimed" prophets, and I see we have a couple of them here.

Heh, maybe that's why certain people seem to be startling at their own shadows and otherwise keeping us laughing.

If this one weren't beyond ridiculous, it's be just the regular hate-speech, (How do you 'mistakenly' go on television and accuse a whole bunch of people (meaning: a religious minority) of cursing every piece of candy made in all the factories (Yes, that's actually what he said) to apparently release some character we don't believe in into, I guess some kind of big sugar rush?.

He and Falwell kind of mistakenly went on TV by mistake and mistakenly agreed vociferously with each other 9/11 happened cause people weren't persecuting a bunch of people he didn't like, too.

OK, so it's pretty psycho. What's *scary* is when people cover up for it. But, ah, here we are. Seriously, folks, my understanding of all the cute Halloween customs is so that kids can *face* a little fear. Not for you to *create* it against your neighbors. (Didn't you guys have a rule of some kind against 'bearing false witness?' This. Didn't happen. )

Boo!

And.

Blessed be, y'all.

Got a harvest feast I'm cooking. No white sugar, even.

-The one wizard sees all/knows all and is the benefactor of goodness.
-The other wizard is the epitome of all that is bad in the world.

I think that is just way too convenient for excusing human behaviours, good and bad.

Believe what you want but just don't try to ram that crap down my gullet.

I was fed on the pablum of evangelical beliefs when I was young and vulnerable.
It just doesn't cut it with me any more.
For the most part those preachers have a sanctimonious attitude that curls my toenails.
My wife is a Roman Catholic and they are so steeped in tradition they can't see the present let alone the future.

The only thing that seems to attract me is a concept called 'The Four Agreements'.
It is just simple common sense that in practice is somewhat difficult to produce because of all the 'training' I've had to date.
  1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
  2. Don't Take Anything Personally
  3. Don't Make Assumptions
  4. Always Do Your Best

oh yeah, on the homosexuality note....i guess all the kid touching catholic priests are just doing the work of god. i guess that child molestation is a notch above homosexuality. i bet the pope himself is the biggest pickle sniffer of them all. it's my opinion that catholicism breeds homosexuality through all of this molestation. and you would think they would try to stop it....no, just cover it up and pay off thoose that have been victimized by these creeps.

the right wing always hides behind the religion(christianity) that has been accepted as the norm. that does Not mean that it is correct. blind faith is the product of having a narrow mind. open your mind and learn to think for yourself.

now if you will excuse me....this is one of my favorite holidays....i must get out and have some fun. inebriety and fornication is in order this fine evening.

I personally believe that Pat Robertson is no different than Bin Laden. They both run around preaching hatred of anyone different than themselves...

I thought that Bush was the one in the French Maids outfit...Robertson was in a one piece pantyhose mansuit with little dangly things hanging from his nipples laying back singing Johnny Boy. It's true...I saw it on Monty Python....

I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
Voltaire

I will defend both you and Pat Robertson. It's not that much more trouble to defend 2 fools. I see your intolerance as perhaps even more dangerous than Pat Robertson's "messages from God".
