New Mobile Photography Station

In other words, I got a new ride. Traded in my 2001 Olds Alero with a motor that had a bad case of rod knock.

Here it is. 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 HO V8, fully loaded.

265 HP, and I get around 20 mpg.

Although you went up several notches above your Alero. Removing the Toyota Center plates make the ride even nicer

It looks like a nice ride. I believe that Dodge used a pretty good motor in those, so as long as you take reasonable care of it the engine should last you a long time.

Congrats RD.
They're quite smooth inside and out, and drive well too.

Sharp ride! Although I would have gotten a 6 cyl in case the gas goes back up to $4 a gallon again. we've been looking at Jeeps ourselves for the last year, but haven't found one that we both agree on yet.

Congrats!!

I bought the V8 based on hands on experience from other Grand's that came into the shop, both 4.0's and 4.7's. The reliability seems the same, and the V8's actually get a little bit better gas mileage than the 6cyl's. Tough choice, 190 hp or 265 hp and better gas mileage?

Actually, by trading in my Alero, my insurance dropped $300!

Nice ride. I've got the Dakota with the 4.7 in it and my full size van with a 350 gets better mileage than the 4.7. But the Dakota is definitely faster. But not as good at towing.

From one South Cackalackian to another, you should take a weekend with your nice new ride up to my neck of the woods. Your only about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from Caesars Head, Jones Gap, Devil's Fork and a little farther to the Blue Ridge Parkway. (I like to refer to it as God's Country.) Congrats on the ride!

BTW - Here's a pic of Caesars Head.... No I didn't take it:

...and down the road a few miles from Caesars Head - Pretty Place Chapel - a great place for a wedding though the parking sucks
(I didn't take these either)

Sorry to (acid) rain on your parade, but Forbes says it's one of the most polluting new vehicles on the road:

America's Dirtiest Vehicles
