So throw him in jail.
Unless what he did wasn't actually against the law.

When I get the time machine repaired, I'll get right on that.

The impeachment wasn't about his extra marital affairs. It was about his lies and abuse of power.
You do realize that your comment illustrates my point that Willy's example told a whole generation that that being a liar and a cheat is OK don't you?

And then GWB carried on this fine tradition.

I'm not so sure that exists but Clinton was blatantly disgraceful. Resigning quietly would have been the right thing to do , but the low life chose to make a mockery of the law , show complete disrespect for the duty of his office , waste tax dollars on impeachment proceedings and degrade the moral fiber of a nation.
And oh yeah I really believe he didn't inhale !

and i will ask you again, show me someone that would create a bench mark, so that your statements would become meaningful.

the way i see it, Clinton is no better or worse than anyone else in the grand scheme of things. He did some good things, he did some bad things, just like every other president in every other country...

The problem is that Willie would have been breaking precedent. Ronnie, Tricky Dick, LBJ, JFK, FDR, etc have all been accused of these things. If they had all "resigned quietly" we would have been led by a series of VP's.

Goosh's point has been left unanswered - I wonder why?
As long as human beings are leaders of anything, there will be mistakes, big and small.
Only being a president means everything you do, have done, and will ever do will be heavily scrutinised.

I guarantee that if I had been in Clinton's shoes, I would not have stuck a cigar in any fat interns.

However, I would have acted to prevent the genocide of ethnic Albanians.

perhaps not, but any other vice you may have would certainly not be left alone either...

Not quite. Which of them lied under oath?

They've all been accused of lying under oath, or in situations where veracity is legally implied. Whether or not the above-referenced presidents actually did lie, I'll leave up to others' interpretations.
