We had a tragedy in Texas. It looks like as many as three people, one confirmed soldier at Ft. Hood went on a rampage a killed 12 (all soldiers) and injured 31 at 1:30 cst. The main shooter (the soldier) was apperently killed; two others are in custudy being question by the FBI.
Being in the Army and currently staioned in South Korea, I couldnt believe this when i woke up here in Korea. I have a good friend stationed at FT. Hood and thankfully he is ok. Can't believe this was a Solider on Soldier attack. Simply Stupid!!
Well, if he is Welsh or Irish, those over in that Islamic defender thread will be very relieved, and if not they will just go back into denial.
Regards!
I heard that on bases you aren't allowed to carry weapons. All arms must be locked up. If you want to go shooting you sign out the gun and when done return it. Heard it on the radio by a soldier stationed at Hood. So much for gun control.
According to Hasan's cousin, Hasan was very worried - almost obsessive - about being deployed. He had also mentioned on several occasions that the other soldiers gave him grief over his ethnicity.

Most likely these were his personal guns. On most posts your not allowed to carry personal firearms on post. Some you are able to. Military weapons are locked up in Arms rooms and you have to sign them out. Does this mean they will start doing tougher car searches at the gate....? I don't know

This jives precisely with what a CNN consultant - a retired general - has stated. The Gen. said that Hasan could have simply concealed his personal weapons in his jacket and entered the base.

And if other soldiers on base had their arms on them less soldiers would be dead. Maybe none.
