I finally finished my PhD, so now I'm in the ghastly post-PhD limbo of looking for a postdoc or (gasp!) a real job. At the moment, I'm teaching a university course, and having a lot of fun doing it. Also getting something nice to put on my CV! Unfortunately that ends in December, so then I'll be writing up papers, applying for jobs, and cross-country skiing every chance I get!

Congratulations! I didn't get into any of the PhD programs I wanted to so I went to the workforce. I don't know if I'll be able to go back to school aside from a Masters for some time.

Retired from university administration: now employed part-time by a Southern California consulting firm but will soon retire from that as well.

I have been a flight simulator engineer most of my life.

Now I am involved with electromagnetic bearings for very large pumps.

Website managing editor in the health sector. Not as interesting as it might sound, but I did get to play with some cool videocasting kit today... Graduated in zoology which, with photography, is still my real love...

Mostly retired, plumbing is my trade....nasty work, but has always paid the bills! I mostly play now and have fun, stir up a little trouble where I can and run a great Squirrel Frenzy, which you are welcome to post on right here! Flickr: Discussing Official WSSA Fall Frenzy Right Here! in Pentaxians
Nothing political there, just a lot of fun! Squirrels are my passion, but I do shoot other things occassionally!
Regards
Rupert

Logistics engineer for a communications company, after some time with the USAF. When not figuring out how to fix, ship or document something, spend plenty of time with the spousal unit. Been with Pentax for over 30 years...wow, time flies when looking through a viewfinder...

Have fun all!

I write and maintain database software for the US Geological Survey's Water Resources Discipline, keeping records of water-related measurements, samples, levels, etc. Before that I was flying computers for the USAF...

I'm pretty new here, so never posted on the old thread
I was a high school English teacher the last 5 years. Now I am mostly a stay at home mom (I like my own kids better than my high school students), but my district calls me in from time to time to cover maternity leaves and other long-term subbing jobs.

I help manage a warehouse for a company that imports bathroom products into AU. I also do the deliveries and jockey the phones now and again - with the odd showroom appearance in our retail shop. I take sports photos on the weekend...

I'm a firefighter/medic for the Montreal Fire Dept.

I also teach part time at the fire academy and do part time construction work. In the past I've also been an Inspector for the dept of environment, Fleet manager for the city and 911 dispatcher.

Pat

PS: A huge thumbs up to the stay-at-home dads and moms out there. I firmly believe that a stay at home parent makes a HUGE difference in the way a kid is raised.
