Anyone try this out?
I just downloaded it and it is really fast compared to IE 7. I sometimes use Firefox but it just doesn't cut it when trying to view videos....I get error messages with firefox.
Haha!
Apple wins again!
Even their software beats PC software on a PC!!!
OK, I'm an Apple convert and am a little biased, but Macs are the way to go for multimedia!
Sorry, I have no comment on Safari for Windows - but on a Mac it's excellent!

Thank you Randy, I didn't know Safari was out for Windows. Is the Windows color managed?

I really like the quote:
"There's only one problem with that scenario -- Safari sucks. A lot of Mac users won't run the browser (I'm one of them), so why would anyone run it on Windows?"
Just don't jump on the Apple bandwagon without a huge pile of salt. Don't get me wrong - Mac's are great machines (they really fly now that they are using Intel) but I have never been enamored with their software. You either do it the Apple way or the highway, when they locked the case on the original Mac's they lost me.
I was born to tinker - something that is locked by design imply's that I am too stupid to plug in a card.
Safari could be an enhancement - it's imo the only browser that can display abobeRgb - (profiles and all) and because it's the only browser who does this I won't use it.
A this point Flock (windows) is my main browser. It's a gecko based (ergo firefox) browser with some extra's.
Neat, or horrible. I'm not sure which I have one more browser to test web pages on at work, but then that means I have one MORE browser to test stuff ona t work.
Too bad we already ordered a mac in order to make safari testing easier.
I have tried out opera and safari and IE 7, and I see no reason to give up firefox and the many fantastic plugins I use..
BTW: Is safari bundled with Itunes? thats what I hate about Quicktime, every time it updates it tries to sneak in Itunes
I hate that crap. I refuse to install quicktime because of the way it takes over the OS and also tries to sneak in other software. The fact that most actual mac users I know won't even use Safari tells me right away that it sucks. If it's speed you're after, give Opera a try. I'm after features and compatibility, so I'll stick to firefox/ie6.
Pointless for us users. I don't use Safari on the Mac even, let alone Windows. Why not? Because it's the only browser that keeps having the most page rendering problems of all the browsers that I've used and that includes Opera.
Firefox is where it's at.
This only benefits Apple as it's tied to the upcoming iphone and it's apps (read galvanized scripts).
I like safari on my mac, but it needs work on the pc. Back and forward buttons on my mouse don't work, and lots of secure websites don't recognize the browser and won't work. (Probably a beta issue)
I have never jumped on the Firefox bandwagon personally. I've tried and and don't like the interface at all...
Safari on mac sucks. And it sucks even worse on Windows. I know what Apple were trying to do here, but could have at least done it with some decent software. Still it will help some webmasters who don't have macs as they will be able to test their sites in safari on their PCs
