    Hi all.

I live in Wentzville, and purchased the K20D a few months ago. I like to take long vacations on a motorcycle and in June the Wife and I went to Deadwood, SD, then through WY, Yellow Stone and Rockey Mountain national park on the way home. I did not get to spend as much time taking photographs as I wanted to, because we had someone else tagging along and time did not permit a lot of time at stops. I only got to take a lot of snap shots. I am planning our vacation next year, and heading to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I should be able to get some good shots there.

Now that I've introduced myself, I see that this forum is not real active, but lets see what we can do to change that.

If by 'play golf' you mean swing the 'Sams Club' special clubs I bought in College as hard as I can in the general direction of the hole, then yes.

    Any single-track mountain bikers?

Hey all. My name's Daniel and I actual live in Springfield. I thought I'd share a little bit about myself. I am 24 years old and happily married with one son who is almost a year old. I am new to the photography thing, but I grew up hunting (including bow hunting) and hope that I will be able to implement the skills I learned doing that into an enjoyable wildlife photography hobby. I am choosing photography over hunting right now because: a.) I live in the city, b.) I do not have anywhere to store meat and the like, and c.) I want to be able to have a hobby that I can do anywhere (I am from a small town where shooting guns was not a big deal, but I cannot even shoot my bow outside at my apartments.)

I see this group as a few things. First, simply a place to share images and events of St. Louis and to meet others in the area who share a common interest. Perhaps it is also a means by which we can get together for a walkabout sometime. We can also use it for professional networking (ala linkedin.com). St. Louis already has a camera club, so I don't see it being as formal as that but I would not be opposed to it either.
