Gallery upgraded!

Thanks to your very kind and generous donations, I've now purchased and installed PhotoPlog pro, replacing the old gallery, which ran PhotoPlog lite.

All old files, comments, descriptions, etc., remain, as this was an upgrade and not a replacement. New features include easier-to-use categories, easier uploads, lens & camera fields, homepage thumbnail info, and homepage statistics.

Registered users can upload up to 50 photos up to 1Mb each, while those who donated will be able to upload up to 200 photos with the same size limit. This is like easy-to-use photo space in which users can also comment on your pictures!

Images in the gallery are not watermarked, and they will be uploaded in full resolution and additionally resized for your convenience (to 300 pixel and 600 pixel widths).

You can now also specify which camera and lens you used in separate fields when uploading

And also, although you can attach photos directly to your posts (good if you're entering a picture in a contest), it's better to upload them to the gallery and then to link to them with [img] tags in the forum thread. Remember how much more gallery space you have!

That new gallery is a great improvement! I hope many people will use it! It's easy to search and navigate!
