I'm proud to announce that over the course of less than two hours, I've transferred the entire site over to a new, more powerful dedicated server. The primary advantage of this move will be greatly increased site performance and loading speeds.
The new server features a quad-core processor as well as a 1-gigabit nework uplink so that even at peak times, the site shouldn't be overloaded.
All site services, incuding photo and attachment uploading, should be available.
Maybe a idea to state on the holder page on the old IP address the new IP address for people who are using a DNS server like me(where I should wait more than 16 hours from now!) to reach the new server.
Fortunaly I could find the new IP address after trying to connect to the domain from an other server.
I have the IP now in my /etc/hosts file and I can browse right now this forum again
Zippey! Thank U! WOW you got that done quickly! I've seen other boards execute that same action over days, with extended delays and downtime, piecemeal implementation, loss of functionality, screwed up templates and stylesheets. Dang, you really really know what you are doing Adam!
Please let us know if the coffers are getting emptied too quickly. Many will respond by stepping up donation I imagine.

Definitely faster. The last few days, I had stopped reading due to the delays. Thanks for taking the initiative, Adam. Feel free to remind us all that donations are due.
